If arriving by rail, Houghton Haus is only a 10 minute walk from the station. Alternatively contact us as soon as you know your arrival time and we will happily coordinate a pick up by either ourselves or our Alpine Pearl partners depending on availability and accessibility need.

By Road

From the North

via Salzburg - motorway (A10) - exit at Bischofshofen towards Gasteinertal - Badgastein - Böckstein Bahnof. Here take the car train (charge) through the mountain to Mallnitz.

via Salzburg - motorway (A10) towards Villach - Tauern motorway tunnel (toll) - before Spittal exit Lendorf towards Mallnitz – Möllbrücke. Turn right towards Mölltal / Großglockner / Mallnitz – Obervellach. At Obervellach follow signs left up towards Mallnitz

via the Großglockner High Alpine Road (open from May to October) - Heiligenblut - Obervellach- Mallnitz

via Kufstein - Wörgl - Kitzbühel - Felbertauerntunnel - Lienz - Obervellach – Mallnitz

From the South

Via Klangenfurt (toll) – take the south motorway (A2 / E22) towards Villach, at Villach merge onto the A10 / E66 continue to Spittal, exit Lendorf towards Mallnitz – Möllbrücke. Exit towards Mölltal / Großglockner / Mallnitz – Obervellach. At Obervellach follow signs towards Mallnitz

Via Lienz - Take B107 and Mölltal Str./B106 towards Obervellach. At Obervellach follow signs towards Mallnitz

Via Ljibuana – travel North on the A2/E61, continue on A11/E61 at Austria Slovinia boarder.At Villach join the A10 / E66  continue to Spittal, exit Lendorf towards Mallnitz – Möllbrücke. Turn right towards Mölltal / Großglockner / Mallnitz – Obervellach. At Obervellach follow signs left up towards Mallnitz

By Air

Salzburg and Klagenfurt airports are both within 2 hours of Mallnitz and served by multiple airlines.

Further afield Munich, Vienna and Innsbruck airports also offer greater flexibility of destinations and dates.
